We’re excited to be bringing Mac and your iOS mobile devices closer together with the release of 2nd device for True Key’s Mac App!

What does that mean?

It means you can now use your iPhone or iPad as a trusted device to verify it’s you when logging in.

See it in action here:

It’s easy to set up. We’ll show you how.

1) Go to your True Key Profile

Go to the top left corner, click on the menu and open your True Key Profile.

If you already have the True Key iOS app, you will see your 2nd Device is activated!

If you don’t have an account, visit the app store, download the True Key app and log in to your profile. Click “Add” to send an email to verify it’s you on your mobile device.

2) Go to your Lock Preferences

After you have your mobile device and desktop set up, you can activate your 2nd device as a factor. You can use this to verify it’s you by changing your Lock Preference to “Advanced” and selecting your additional factor (Trusted Devices + Face + 2nd Device).

3) Log out & back in to your True Key Profile

When you log back in, a notification will appear on your computer, and your mobile device.

Be sure to swipe to verify it’s you. (Super user tip – if someone else is trying to access your profile from a untrusted computer, you will also get this notification. You can “deny access” to protect your information)

This is multi-factor authentication made easy.
